چکیده

The radial artery is a commonly used conduit for coronary artery bypass grafting. Long-term patency rates are at least as good and in some series are better than for saphenous vein grafts (1,2). owever, radial artery graft failure remains a ignificant problem (3), in particular in cases here radial conduits are used on smaller target essels or where there is significant competitive ow from a native coronary with a relatively low rade stenosis (4). The string sign, where the radial graft conduit is patent but with only a thread of antegrade flow, is a well-recognized angiographic presentation of radial graft failure

A Case of Iatrogenic Intra-Stent Coronary Dissection after Biolimus-Eluting Stent Deployment in the Left Main Coronary Artery

We encountered a case of an iatrogenic intra-stent coronary dissection at the guiding catheter engagement in 6-month follow-up angiography after a biolimuseluting stent implantation in the left main coronary artery (LMCA). The optical coherence tomography revealed peeling of the thin neointima inside the stent and thrombus formation. We made a reentry through the dissected lumen with the guide ...

Analysis of neointima development in flow diverters using optical coherence tomography imaging

BACKGROUND Flow diverters are used for the treatment of intracranial aneurysms. Surface modification may decrease the thrombogenicity of flow diverters but the details are unknown. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is an intravascular imaging test with high resolution which identifies neointimal growth over stents. We compared the development of neointima in a flow diverter and stents with and...

Comparison between optical coherence tomography and intravascular ultrasound in detecting neointimal healing patterns after stent implantation.

BACKGROUND The amount of data comparing intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and optical coherence tomography (OCT) for the detection of stent coverage in clinical settings is limited. AIM To make a qualitative and quantitative assessment of the vascular healing patterns in patients after stent implantations visualised by both IVUS and OCT. METHODS Images were obtained in patients with clinical ...

Radial artery neointimal hyperplasia after transradial PCI—Serial optical coherence tomography volumetric study

AIMS Transradial catheterization (TRC) is a dominant access site for coronary catheterization and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) in many centers. Previous studies reported higher intimal thickness of the radial artery (RA) wall in patients with a previous history of TRC. In this investigation the aim was to assess the intimal changes of RA using the optical coherence tomography (OCT)...

Combined Assessment by Optical Coherence Tomography and Intravascular Ultrasound

The left internal thoracic artery (LITA) is considered the most reliable coronary artery bypass grafting conduit due to its high rate of long-term patency. LITA grafts are extremely durable and associated complications are infrequent. We present a case with spontaneous spiral dissection of a LITA graft to the left anterior descending artery, which was assessed by optical coherence tomography (O...
